League Table Analysis
The School League tables were released today and we are delighted to share them with you.
Last year’s record results have been confirmed with 72% of our students achieving the Government benchmark of five or more A*-C grades including English and Maths (5+A*-C inc EM). This score of 72% compares with 68% last year, and places us second in the local area group of 12 schools.
The school also achieved its highest ever Value Added score. This shows how much progress our students made over their five years at Chesterton. The national median is standardised at 1000. We achieved 1027.7, this figure means that on average every student achieved a grade higher in four out of eight subjects because they attended Chesterton instead of an average school.
Further to this, 86% and 78% of students made expected or better progress in English and Maths respectively. This puts us second and third in the local area.
We are also very proud that our Pupil Premium students (students who have been eligible for Free School Meals at any point in the last 6 years) achieved excellent results compared to other schools in the local area with 38% of them achieving the 5+A*-C inc EM measure.
