County Hockey Selection

After taking part in the County junior hockey development squad, Amber P has now been selected to represent the Under 15 girls hockey team!  Congratulations.


National Cross Country Competitioncrosscountry

Jordan W recently represented Cambridge and Coleridge Athletics Club in the annual national cross country event.  He finished in a very creditable 37th position in the under 15 section.


Sports Leaders In Action

Sports leaders from year 8 and 9 have recently been in action at Chesterton.  The leaders were involved in organizing the annual primary school football festival, and the annual primary school indoor athletics festival.  Their skills in organization and officiating were very much appreciated.  Contact for more information on how your son/daughter can be involved in sports leadership.


Girls Football Success

A number of girls have taken part in inter-school football competitions this term.  Teams have progressed through the rounds of the national knockout competition and taken part actively in the County football grand prix events – Our year 7 team currently leads the County league.  Competition resumes in 2014!


Inter House Sport

All students have been involved in inter house sports events this term.  Sports range from basketball to trampolining, rugby to dodgeball, hockey to swimming and many more.  Contact for more information on the inter house sports program at Chesterton.


District School Games League Leaders

The Cambridge district ‘School Games’ were inspired by the London Olympics – this is a multi-sport series of competitions which take place across the academic year, including tennis, golf, table tennis, badminton, netball, indoor rowing, basketball and netball.  After winning the 2012/13 School Games, Chesterton has started the 2013/14 Games with early success in the first table tennis and badminton competitions – currently in first place, above sixteen local schools.
